In this 2-day experience, you will birth your own sacred drum, honoring the animal and tree spirits. We make the drum in the traditional way, using strings of skin, thus keeping the spirit of the animal in the drum. The creation of the drum is a meditation on the great wheel of sweet medicine!
The construction of the drum will follow the pattern of shamanic hand drums with 40 cm, circular, with a leather side and 4-way cording to hold it with the hand underneath.
The purpose of this experience is that each person can, through the spell, magnetize the elements of the drum with their energy and intention, so that it really becomes a sacred instrument of healing in their hands. When the drum comes to life!
Shamanic drumming is an ancient approach that uses rhythm to promote healing and self-expression. You can also use your drum to create sacred space, journeying, power practice, power animals, drum therapy, group circles, not to mention the therapeutic effects.
Recent studies demonstrate that guided drumming with technique and intention is a valuable treatment for stress, chronic pain, cancer, stroke, trauma, addictions, mental illness, emotional disorders, and a wide range of physical disabilities.
In oral cultures, sound is considered one of the most effective ways to establish connections with the spiritual realm, as it travels through space, permeates visual and physical barriers, and conveys information from the unseen world.
The key to understanding the shaman's world is realizing that the universe is made of vibratory energy; who is a unique being, fluent and rhythmic. According to quantum physics, everything in the universe, from the smallest subatomic particle to the largest star, has an inherent vibrational pattern. The entire universe is created through vibration and can be influenced through the vibrations of the shamanic drum.
