For the "two legs" (humans) who have the tiger as a "power animal" (instinctual aspect of the soul or SELF INSTINCTIVE), the "Tiger Archetype", its powerful claws, its strong and impressive musculature, can present itself , symbolically, as a powerful burst of energy. These individuals possess an incredible reservoir of energy that is often kept hidden, but which comes out in moments where it is really needed. When circumstances warrant the release of this wellspring, or when the “tiger soul” faces a problem, crisis or challenge with a focused intensity cad can only be matched by a tiger leap.
When very young, the "soul-tiger" learns to contain such instinctual power.
This pent-up energy can come across as an intense gaze and quietly studious demeanor that can intimidate others, as if the tiger's eyes are able to peer into your soul. Such intensity can alienate people, or it can appear that the "tiger soul" is distant and uninterested. Nothing can be further from the truth. However, although it may seem callous or individualistic, these are souls who wish to experience all of life's ins and outs and adventures, but it is only when they mature and gain confidence in themselves that their more exuberant side emerges.
