The double harmonic scale features radial symmetry or symmetry around its root or central note. This scale (and its modes as the Hungarian minor scale) is the only seven-note scale (in equal temperament to 12 tones) that is perfectly balanced – this means that when your pitches are represented as points on a circle (whose full circumference represents a octave), its average position (or “center of mass”) is the center of the circle.
