I highly recommend purchasing the complete flute kit (oil, stick and cloth), as it is a musical instrument, and it requires maintenance care.
I watched the YouTube video in which Ralph teaches in detail how to clean and maintain it. It's a flute for life, and the kit is essential. The rod came very well packaged and protected in a sturdy and hard cardboard box.

I ordered 3 flutes, each with different colors of the binding.
I also ordered 3 cleaning sticks and each had a different color in the binding as well, in the respective colors of the flutes! I was amazed by this little, lovingly made, detail. One of my flutes is a bass flute, so it is quite long.
And one of the cleaning stick is longer than the other, to fit for the bass flute, colored like the bass flute. It is great to see people thinking and understanding when they are working.
