The Native Flute Roots Series features an aged wood-like paint and lacquer finish that conveys the beauty of what has been proven over time!

Tunings

The Native Flute Roots Series is part of our exclusive Native Flute Ashar collection in the NAF (Native American Flute) style. It is a flute with 5 or 6 holes for musical notes that reproduce the minor pentatonic scale. The flute has a whistle, and air is directed to the whistle by an animal-shaped block that represents the spirit of the flute.

We produce the Native Flute Roots Series in 7 tunings that cover the mid/high range keys. A (A4) is the standard tuning; as an option you can choose the keys: G, F#, F, E, D, and C in descending order to lower (bass) keys, which corresponds to longer flutes.

For a first contact with the instrument, we recommend tuning A or G because they are smaller flutes, and F# because it is the classic tuning of the native flute.

BAMBOO

The bamboo selected for these flutes is of high acoustic quality, with thick walls. The bamboos are shade-dried for at least 6 months, treated, and sealed to withstand weather and variations in humidity, temperature, and antifungal protection.

MOUTHPIECE

The mouthpiece of the NAF Roots Series flutes is made of noble Peroba Mica wood.

FINISHES

The NAF Flute of the Roots Series features imbuia, mahogany, or tobacco paint with an aged finish over the paint, followed by 3 coats of natural clarified Indian shellac varnish that give the flutes a glossy finish.
