The Native Flute Double Series is part of our exclusive Ashar Native Flute collection in NAF (Native American Flute) style. It is a mid-level flute that reproduces the minor pentatonic scale, among other possible scales with cross fingering and half-hole. Native American style flutes have a sweet and soft timbre, perfect for meditation, sound healing, and group or solo performances.
We produce the Native Flute Double Series in A, G, F#, E, D#, D, C#, C, low B, and low A. Low B and low A are the lowest pitched flutes, with greater length requiring more breath flow. The classic tuning key for Native American flute is F#. The Maya harmonic Double flute produced in F# allows combinations of simultaneous notes, but requires more experience.
The bamboo selected for these flutes is of high acoustic quality, with medium or thick walls. The bamboos are shade-dried for at least 6 months, treated, and sealed to resist weather and variations in humidity, temperature, and antifungal protection.
All Double Series flutes have a wooden front mouthpiece. The mouthpieces are essential to fix the position of the tubes.
The NAF Double Series has 2 types of finishes that define the available models. Natural finish that highlights the raw material or finish with mahogany paint and graphics only available for the "V" shaped model. Over the paint, 3 layers of natural Indian shellac varnish are applied, giving the flutes a shiny finish.
Each flute is a collaboration with nature, each instrument has a unique timbre. We do not produce in quantity, we craft each flute by hand for YOU, with full attention to quality.
